Claressa Shields Seemingly Shows Off Engagement Ring While On Instagram Live

Claressa Shields is showing off her bling.

The boxing champion took to Instagram live to show her fans the rock on her finger. “You see this big ol’ ring on my finger. Bling bling bling. Engaged” she says during the live.

“I’m getting tired of people asking when’s the wedding? When are you getting engaged?” she continued.

It’s no secret that Papoose and Shields are in love, as the boxing champ previously appeared on The Pivot Podcast, and revealed her plans to start a family next year. “I’m gonna have a baby next year,” she said. “We already had it planned out. I’m gonna have baby next year.”

She added that once she gives birth, she plans to return to boxing. “And then after I go through my stuff, then I’ll come back and fight and fight some more, and then probably have another one and then do the same thing again.”

The 30-year-old says she doesn’t want to wait until she’s up in age to start a family. “Like, I don’t want to wait till I’m 40, 43, or whatever, after my career, to have my kids. I want to be able to run at the park with my kids and stuff like that. I don’t want to be too old.”

She’s practicing a healthy lifestyle in advance.  “I don’t drink, I don’t smoke—I think that’ll also help me too when I’m going through this body- and life-changing stuff next year.”
