Cassie Reveals She’s Pregnant W/ Third Baby

Cassie Ventura, known professionally as Cassie, has now released her own statement following Diddy’s apology video.

In November 2023, Cassie filed a lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs , alleging the rapper had physically and sexually abused her for years. Diddy denied all accusations of the kind until May 17, when CNN published graphic surveillance-video footage from March of 2016 showing Diddy assaulting Cassie. On May 19, Diddy posted a video to his own Instagram in which he said he takes “full responsibility” for his “inexcusable” behavior in the video and said he had sought professional help.

The pregnancy announcement comes after Cassie says she’s “recovering” from the hardship she faced in her past.  The “Me and You” single made headlines in 2023 after a surveillance video from 2016 surfaced, revealing domestic abuse from her then boyfriend, Diddy.

In a statement posted in 2024, Cassie expresses, “Thank you for all of the love and support from my family, friends, strangers, and those I have yet to meet,” Ventura wrote on Instagram. “The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now, but this is only the beginning.”

The statement continued: “Domestic Violence is THE issue. It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become. With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past,” she continued. “Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to take this matter seriously. My only ask is that EVERYONE open your heart to believing victims the first time. It takes a lot of heart to tell the truth out of a situation that you were powerless in.”
